My field of interest is guitar amps (tube, non-tube), guitar effects, acoustical measurments. I use spice simulation since 2005.
  • Simple jFET based compressor for electric guitar. The jFET works as a voltage controlled resistor and controlled by the rectified output voltage. Due to the feedback design it has a soft knee compression curve.

  • Full schematic of Fulltone OCD guitar pedal. It has a dual TL082 opamp. I used my TL072 spice model in the simulation which is closer to the original than the Tina version.

    • OCD full schematic gain versus frequency
  • A simple LCR model of a magnetic guitar pickup (medium output humbucker) with a tube preamp. The pickup’s low frequency response is not included in this model. Guitar amp input: “High” input of tube amps. See frequency response and change -> cable length (capacitance) -> tone control settings -> tube amp input
