Hi,
you should be able to use both methods. Double click on your AVR model and then click on
MCU – (HEX,LST File Name) line. Press “…” button, in the dialog window
choose the Hex file option. Try directly to load your hex file. If it doesnt’ work you can load
your ASM file, TINA has a built in compiler for all supported MCUs.
