NPN Transistors Double Balanced Mixer

Description

NPN double balanced mixer SPICE simulation. This mixer is usable for frequencies around 500Mhz. Discrete transistors mixers require the matching of the transistors’ characteristics. This issue is overcome by applying a bit of feedback through emitter resistors. The base are driven with LO signal from a balun transformer. This mixer exhibits a conversion loss of 6dB and 15 to 17dBm of LO drive power.
