Description
In the conventional approach the closed loop transfer function of a feedback system is H = A/(1+A*K), where A is the transfer function of the forward path, K is the transfer function of the feedback path. This model doesn’t account for bidirectional signal transmission. The General Feedback Theorem takes into account the reverse transmission and is based on an augmented version of the conventional feedback block diagram. This is a simple feedback amplifier model with the test signal injection point inside the loop. Defined the error voltage vx as the voltage between the input and the feedback voltage at the feedback divider tap point and the error current ix as the current drawn from the feedback divider tap point, the test signals are to be injected inside the loop so that vx and ix are the driving signals for the forward path.
